Last weekend, I completed the Reebok Spartan Race. It consists of 5k trail (but with all the hills, it feels more like 8k) and 23 obstacles scattered throughout with an option to replace them with 30 burpees if you can't complete it.

In all honesty it was one of the hardest things I've put myself through physically and mentally. I in no way finished within a spectacular time, however, the race did make me realize 2 things.

The first being our bodies can do incredible things that will surprise us. I realized this at the end of the first hill when my life was flashing before my eyes but I kept going.

The second is that women are so underestimated during these kinds of events and the badass women who were with the intent to finish were what kept me going.

Did I finish the race in a record breaking time? No! Did it teach me a few things? Yes! Will I do it again? Hell yes! And in a lesser time too. Ultimately it made me want to push my mind and body to new limits and show myself what more I'm capable of.
