It seems bars in Ottawa have only been getting better; nowadays, there are bars for every type of club-goer, with music ranging from EDM to hip-hop. However, I can assure you that you've never seen one like this before.

May you officially familiarize yourself with Room 104.

Room 104 has finally made its' home on 104 Clarence St. right beside Tequila Jack's and Cornerstone, where Dodge City used to be. In addition to being owned by Dreamind, the same group that brought you clubs such as Moscow Tea Room, the Waverley, Tequila Jack's, and Flybar, the Palooza Group and Breakout Squad have officially joined the team. Yes, those are the same people that brought Palooza Beer Fest and PPL Nightclub to Ottawa.

With that being said, this new little spot sells itself on being just a room; not aclub, but a room. It's a shot bar that has absolutely no cover, is open 7 days a week with a new theme each night, and that has a team full of rockstar bartenders ready to serve you over 100 shots and yard drinks that you can actually take home. It's described as a small, cozy clubhouse that you can hit up after work and just chill at until you call it a night or the pre-drink to your night of clubbing. However, the main attraction to this quaint little bar really comes from all the arcade games they're going to have. Yup, you read that right, they're going to have real arcade games installed. Ranging from Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Pac-Man, Pinball, Fuseball, Air Hockey and more, not only will you be able to get lit but you'll have a blast playing your favorite old-school games.Furthermore, they're going to have food! All the 90's food you used to love to binge on, from pogos to pizza pops, they will be serving it.

Asides from having over 100 shots to choose from, all your favorite arcade games, and some good old greasy food, what makes this place so amazing is the 90's themed decor. Spread all across the walls are photos of old school J.Lo, Diddy, Christina Aguilera, and Aaliyah, there's a section covered in wallpaper with all of your favorite childhood arcade game characters, and the atmosphere is filled with retro vibes. This place will kick your nostalgia up into high gear as you reminisce over the 90's and remember what a dope time it was. In addition to the beautiful layout on the inside, the bar has a patio with a huge garage door that opens at the front of the bar meaning if you get tired of being inside, you can step out for a breath of fresh air during the Summer.

Make sure you don't miss the grand opening on Thursday, February 1st at 8pm with music from DJ Tdot and Ryan Powall. I've heard getting in will be difficult because of how many people are excited to go check it out so it's definitely not something you want to miss out on.
