With today’s bone chilling weather, and my best friend having left for Mexico this weekend, I’ve been reminiscing about warmer destinations. I love, love, love to travel. I’m on a mission to hit all the continents and I’ve made quite good progress so far – only Australia and Antarctica left to visit!

The very first thing I do when my travel bug starts to act up is to pick up my phone and swipe through Skyscanner. This app is a search engine that lets you easily compare the costs of flights  to find the best deals. Once you put in what city you are flying in to and out from this app brings up hundreds of flight options for you to consider. It takes seconds, and the app gives you so much information.

Skyscanner tells you which flights are the shortest, the

cheapest, and even rates them out of 10 for best choice! It even reminds you to pay extra attention to important details like time zone differences, early departures and arrivals, and length of transfer time if you need to catch a connecting flight. Once you choose a flight you can see even more details like the type of plane you’re going to fly in, whether or not it has electrical outlets, and how much leg room to expect! It’s an all-in-one, organized, user friendly app. Once you find a flight you like, the app takes you to the airline’s website to complete the booking. It's best to use this app to track changes in price before committing to a specific flight.

Flight information isn’t the only data it tracks. You can even search for hotels and car rentals too.  I can’t say much about deals there though, I prefer booking accommodations through Airbnb.
